Overview
A sound knowledge of the legislation related to driving in South Africa, is required in the clinical reasoning process to make appropriate recommendations regarding driving intervention.

This lesson, consisting of 4 topics, provides an overview of:

  • The Road Traffic Act (RTA) medical disqualification from obtaining a driver’s license and different types of license restrictions.
  • Procedures to disclose a disability.
  • Relicensing procedures.
  • The risks and liabilities for attendees working in this field.
